Held in cultural and political hubs like Athens and Milan in partnership with the Berlin Opera, and extended globally through online performances at RightsCon, each session combined immersive listening exercises with powerful concerts that reflected participants’ collective experiences. By integrating governance with cultural practices, Right2Listen fostered empathy, understanding, and human connection, offering a transformative approach to building a more inclusive and just world.

‘New Epoch for Governance of Digital Commons: Across the Metaverse’ session at the World’s Government Summit

In collaboration with the World Government Summit, reState hosted a session titled New Epoch for Governance of Digital Commons: Across the Metaverse, featuring Glen Weyl, Political Economist and Social Technologist at Microsoft’s Office of the CTO, Evo Heyning, CEO of Playable Agency and Co-Chair of the Open Metaverse Interoperability Group, and Joel Dietz, Founder and CEO of Metametaverse, to explore how moral and ethical frameworks can evolve alongside Web3 and Metaverse technologies, advocate for treating core technologies as accessible digital commons governed for the public good, and co-imagine human-centered, inclusive, and accountable governance models – using the Metaverse as a testbed for responsive, pluralistic digital governance and stewarding collaborative futures.

At Amsterdam Blockchain Week/DevConnect AMS, reState took part in panels, meetups and the DAOist Global Governance Gathering – where thousands convened to advance self-sovereignty, collaborative technologies, regenerative economics and radical markets – and hosted a workshop on the future of DAO governance to kick-start the journey of building and documenting DAOs, distilling informed best practices and theory from field leaders; the session, facilitated by reState Foundation and attended by 20 DAO founders and practitioners, gathered and shared tested governance models to help shape the next generation of Web3 public-goods experiments.

At the 2022 World Systemic Forum in Flums, Switzerland, reState Foundation joined over 80 global changemakers in a non-agenda setting to explore transformative approaches to systemic change. The forum emphasized moving beyond traditional problem-solving to reimagine the underlying systems contributing to global challenges. Through roundtable discussions and collaborative sessions, reState contributed to dialogues on data-sharing, sustainable incentives, and holistic governance models, aligning with its mission to foster inclusive and innovative frameworks for global cooperation. The event underscored the importance of open-mindedness, empathy, and collective action in addressing complex global issues.

reState participated in the Caux Dialogue on Environment and Security at the Caux Palace in Switzerland, an event organized by Initiatives for Land, Lives and Peace (a program of Initiatives of Change International) in collaboration with The System Change Foundation, THE HUS, UNCCD, IUCN, and Vlinder. The dialogue brought together policymakers, experts, business leaders, activists, entrepreneurs, farmers, and students to explore critical issues at the intersection of land, sustainability, climate change, decentralized systems, regeneration finance, impact investing, and human security. reState contributed to discussions on innovative governance models and the role of inclusive collaboration in addressing global environmental and social challenges.
